Since 2010, Josh and his wife Kristen have chosen Louisville as their home to be closer to family and provide a nurturing environment for their three daughters: Elise, Anna, and Grace. As a testament to his professionalism and commitment to his field, Josh is a member of prestigious organizations such as the American Society of Landscape Architects and the Association of Professional Landscape Designers. Moreover, he holds a license as a Landscape Architect in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

In 1986, Michael graduated from Eastern Kentucky University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technical Horticulture, specializing in Landscape Design. He also pursued a Minor in Business during his time there. With over 30 years of experience in the landscape industry, Michael has garnered a wealth of knowledge and expertise. His expertise lies in managing projects encompassing residential design and installation.

Throughout his career, Michael has overseen a diverse range of planting designs, including elements such as patios, walls, pools, water features, covered structures, carpentry, landscaping, irrigation, container garden design, and landscape lighting. Additionally, he has worked closely with landscape crews to ensure proper maintenance and aftercare.

Michael’s passion for gardening and garden design stems from his early years, particularly during his time in the Panama Canal Zone as a young boy. His primary focus in design revolves around integrating the client’s specific interests into a well-thought-out and visually pleasing outdoor living space. He believes that gardens should not only be beautiful but also functional. When planning a space, Michael takes into account various factors, including the area to be transformed, the desired garden style (formal or informal), and the maintenance requirements associated with the chosen garden type. The ultimate goal is to create a garden that harmonizes with the homeowner’s lifestyle, catering to their interests and their willingness to provide ongoing care.
