This distinctive blue home in Cherokee Gardens stands apart from the neighborhood’s traditional architecture and reflects the clients’ artistic, well-traveled style. They wanted less lawn and a garden with year-round interest, so the design created inviting front and rear spaces with benches for guests to enjoy. Pollinator-friendly plantings provide four-season appeal, while a softly curving bluestone walkway leads to the front door. Stepping-stone paths connect the front and rear gardens, where custom wood arbors, fencing, and a swing shape the shade garden. A spa and outdoor shower were integrated into the rear patio, and a natural dry creek adds beauty while managing stormwater. At night, landscape lighting brings the gardens to life with a warm, welcoming glow.
